Each year the Discipleship Team at Gashland EPC seeks to provide a discipleship emphasis that helps us mature and grow in a particular area of our faith. For 2023 our emphasis is service. As disciples of Jesus we are called to follow his example, like it says in Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” For this reason, the Discipleship Team’s aim is to help educate and mobilize our congregation in the area of service in this coming year. Pastor Michael will be kicking off this initiative by preaching on service on January 1st as he reflects on Ephesians 2:10: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

      In January, the Discipleship Team will also be providing a booklet for the congregation that will help our congregation know all the places and areas that they can serve within the church. Furthermore, starting in February, the Discipleship Team will be highlighting different ministries each month within the church where there are present needs.
