It's our joy to worship with you.
We want to invite you to join us in our vision to love Jesus, live as family and look to the fields. One of the ways you can help us live out this vision is by annually filling out a "Harvest Card."
At the end of the third quarter of each year, Gashland EPC begins the financial planning process for the coming year. Part of this planning includes asking all who consider themselves part of the Gashland family to prayerfully consider filling out a "Harvest Card" to let us know what your financial commitment is for the church this year. This not only calls to our attention the importance of giving to God the “firstfruits” of our labors, but also guides our church body in planning ministries and activities in the new year. Harvest Cards are collected in October and November each year. You can fill out a Harvest Card online by clicking the button below.

Stewardship
Campaign
Whether we are in lean times or times of plenty, all that we have belongs to God. It is all from God, and it is all for His glory. We have been given the job to manage what He gives us. When we give to God, we are reminding ourselves that none of it belonged to us in the first place. It reminds us that He comes first. It reminds us that we trust in Him to provide for us, not in ourselves or this world.
We choose to give to our church because we love God and want to keep his commandments - In Leviticus 27 it says that every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees is the LORD's; it is holy to the LORD. Every tithe of herds and locks, every tenth animal, shall be holy to the LORD.
We trust that God will provide our needs, and so we offer Him at minimum a tenth of whatever we earn. We give this to our church, because this is the local family of God that He has led us to. All of the sound Biblical teaching, the encouragement from the fellowship, the place for our kids to grow and receive instruction and encouragement in the Word; all of this takes place in a world where things cost money. All of the wonderful staff who give their time to lead these ministries live in a world where things cost money. This money has to come from us, this family of believers. God has provided for us so that we have the opportunity to be a part of what He's doing when we provide for the needs of the church.
We also give because it declares to our hearts that the Kingdom of God is more important than anything else. We seek God and His kingdom first. We trust Him to provide everything else. If we die with storehouses of riches saved up for ourselves but we have not been generous to God, we have sold ourselves short of true abundance in Christ. We have also failed to love our neighbor as ourselves, because we have used our money for our own good instead of supporting Kingdom work that could bring the good news to another soul.
We fill out the pledge cards so that the church has an estimate to work with as they prayerfully budget for the coming year. We can't know what we will earn, but a prayerful estimate from members helps the church make informed stewardship decisions to continue the growth of God's Kingdom on earth. We invite you to join us in filling one out for your household!
Why we give.
Giving declares to our hearts that the Kingdom of God is more important than anything else.
About US
Gashland is a church that loves God's Word. We believe that the Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God. It is God breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. It is the firm foundation that this church is built on and our final authority in all that we are, all that we believe, and all that we do. For more of our beliefs click the link below!

What to expect
“It is our vision to be a church that loves Jesus, lives as family, and looks to the fields."
Gashland EPC
What is the greatest Commandment?
Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
At Gashland it our desire to not merely love Jesus, but fall deeper in love with Him every day. Jesus is our greatest love in life and we want to spend our days living for Him. It is this love that guides everything we do as a church and as an individual. Paul beautifully describes this in 2 Corinthians 5:14-15:
"14 For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; 15 and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised."
We are family in Christ. Members of the household of God (Ephesians 2:19). That means something. Those are not empty words for us. We have a bond that is greater and longer lasting than blood. A bond that is forged in our Savior Jesus Christ. It is our desire to not merely know each other's names, but that we would know each other's lives.
What does that look like like? We seek to live and grow as a spiritual family through three core ways: Discipleship, Community, and Care. Things that we see were present and alive in the early church (Acts 2).
Our vision, "Look to the fields," draws inspiration from John 4:35, where Jesus urges us to lift our eyes and behold a world ripe for harvest. At Gashland we want to be and become those who joyfully share their faith, participate in the great commission and see the lost come to know Jesus as their Lord and savior.

In Little Lambs, we create a safe and loving environment for our youngest family members to discover and explore. We love getting to know each child and seeing what captures their attention. In addition to feeding, rocking, reading to and playing with children, we incorporate prayer, a Bible lesson, worship, and other activities to share God’s love with these little ones.

We love children and we want them to know Jesus! Here at Gashland, children will be loved, known, protected, and taught about the God who made them and wants to know them. We desire to partner with parents in conversations of faith with their children. We teach children through multi-generational relationships and gospel-focused, Bible-based curriculum.

At Gashland, we want to see students love Jesus, live as family, and look to the fields. To develop this, we have weekly and quarterly events designed to develop students’ hearts and minds for Christ and their neighbor. We want our students to know, experience, and serve Jesus in all their relationships, in their schools and in their community, to the ends of the world. We would love to see your student join us at Gashland and connect with other students and adults who love Jesus and want to know him more!
